Joins us as Kay Jones, founder of Moxie PD educates us on how to conduct “edited; not censored” conversations in the workplace. In this interactive dialogue, Kay will dive into how to to appropriately and professionally communicate feedback to bosses, peers and/or employees, through the lens of “censorship” or “missed opportunities”.
Lunch is not provided, but feel welcome to bring your own as we gather to ask questions and learn together.

I am a professional mentor based in Wimberley, Texas, who with the help of my fur-children, am raising my teenage daughter and her father.
I was a small town Texas girl, however my family and I have long left the beaten path and trekked our way across Central and South America as well as making inroads on exploring Europe. My parents were dedicated school teachers and community members, who found that we could live comfortably on a frugal budget for the entire summer, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the local cultures. This early exposure to other countries and their people piqued my interest in the diversity the world has to offer.
Throughout my career, as a female and then a (female) leader in Technology, I have both struggled and witnessed others struggling not just with earning a seat at the table but with being heard in a room of strong voices. I always had to play a delicate balancing of being assertive without showing aggression, and holding firmly to my beliefs while also supporting my company leaders and their objectives.
We as Women, Diverse, and LGBTQ Employees deserve better than having to force ourselves to fit the environment around us or risk being overlooked, under-represented, or even just being the “token” person in the room. I believe that aligning your unique skills and abilities with your professional desires can be achieved through authentic and highly tactical coaching sessions. I am passionately committed to serving the development of those seeking to advance their leadership skills and their effectiveness in professional or advocacy environments. I specialize in leadership, career and organizational development, as well as workforce planning and customer service.
